Prepare, Assess, Discover, and ImplementIn today’s fast-changing world, churches are realizing that they must change their methods in order to reach the world with the unchanging message of the Gospel. But the same churches often struggle with how to initiate a process of re-envisioning the ministry of a local congregation. It is designed to assist partner churches identify and activate the potential God has already put into their congregations. Anchored to the eight essential qualities of Natural Church Development, the point of departure is not outward manifestations of growth, but the qualitative causes. The module will guide your church leadership through the process of designing and implementing change in your ministry and church.

MODULE 3: Coaching as a Ministry Advantage
Coaches come alongside to help—like the biblical Barnabas. By encouraging and challenging others, today’s Barnabas empowers other people for life and ministry. Usually working in the background and away from the public glare, without him many others would not have been able to accomplish the great things for God that they did. They help someone succeed by coming alongside a person or team to help them discover God’s agenda for their life and ministry, and then cooperating with the Holy Spirit to see that agenda become a reality.

MODULE 4: Becoming an Equipping Church
The Challenge: Most people walk into the church with a consumer mind-set. We live in a consumer culture where we are used to going to superstores, web sites, and highly specialized vendors who provide us with many choices and services so we can get exactly what we want. Many choose a church by looking for the one that gives them the best “religious goods and services,” since they are a consumers of “religious goods and services.” It is hard to move people from a consumer mind-set to a servant lifestyle when so much in their world militates against this transition. Yet, it is exactly this transformation that will provide them with the greatest joy and maturity.
